Mary K. McMahon, nee Kunz, age 97 of Steger, Illinois, passed away on October 27, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Edward McMahon. Loving mother of Edward (Maria) and Ronald (Kathaleen) McMahon. Cherished grandmother of eight; great- grandmother of eight. Dear sister of Charlotte Mergen. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Visitation Wednesday, October 30, 2013 from 3:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday October 31, 2013 at St. Liborius Catholic Church 71 W. 35th St. Steger, IL. Interment Calvary Cemetery Steger, IL. Mary retired from St. James Hospital as a Physical Therapy technician and later returned to volunteer at the hospital. In Lieu of flowers memorial to St. Liborius Church appreciated.
