Mary Lou Young-Duffy

Mary Lou Young-Duffy of Beecher, IL, began her new life in Heaven on August 6, 2016, at the age of 79. Mary Lou loved life and her Lord which was evident in all she did. Following her move from Chicago to the Southeastern suburbs, she worked for Catholic Charities, PASS, and mentored women at Tabitha House. Mary Lou also had many hobbies including ceramics and making reproduction antique dolls. She is survived by husband Jim, son Calvin, daughters Linda and Lisa (Kevin) and many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, as well as sister Carolyn (Mike) and many other family and friends. Preceded in death by her parents Minnie and Arthur, and former husband Calvin Dennler. As her Lord and Savior’s hands and feet on earth, Mary Lou made our lives better. She will be greatly missed. Visitation Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311 with Dr. John Sullivan and Rev. Rick Ligthart officiating.
