Mathias Earle Heider, suffered a massive stroke on January 20 and died peacefully on his 89th birthday February 3, 2008. Beloved husband of the late Theodorette Heider nee Winandy; dear father of Michael Heider; loving companion of Hattie Spires; significant father of the late Bill Helberg and Matt Snider, devoted son of the late Mathias Emil and Amelia (nee Walz) Heider; fond brother of Charles Heider and Lucille Heider Porter.
