Matthew A. Kamstra, age 87, of Lansing, IL, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Ellen Kamstra, nee Van Zuidam. Devoted father of Cynthia Kamstra Coyle, Patricia (Dennis) Oostman, Bruce (Robin) Kamstra, and Duane (Dawn) Kamstra. Son-in-law Norm Coyle. Proud grandfather of 12; blessed great-grandfather of 14. Dear brother of Lenora (late Harvey) Anker, late Caryl (late Glenn) Rietveld, late Dorothy (late Fred) Rietveld, and the late Rose (late Ron) Paarlberg. Brother-in-law of Diane Paarlberg. Kind uncle of many nephews and nieces. Visitation Friday, September 4, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN with services conducted by Rev. Cal Aardsma. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery - Lansing, IL. Mr. Kamstra was a charter member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lansing, IL.
