Matthew Todd Kelderhouse, age 39, of Thornton, IL passed away, suddenly, on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in Thornton, IL. Devoted father of Noah. Loving son of Todd (Debbie) Kelderhouse and the late Natalie (Terry) Lucken. Beloved fiancé of Jessica McCrary. Dear brother of Brittanni (Mark) Brown, Brandon Lucken and Brianna Lucken. Cherished uncle of Aiden, Elizabeth, Autumn, Stefan and several other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dear grandson of Joseph and the late Christine Stazzone and the late Carol and the late Donald Housman, and the late Kenneth (Irma) Kelderhouse.

Matthew was a Local #150 operator engineer and an employee of the Roy Zenere Trucking & Excavating, Inc. in Thornton, IL. He loved his family very much, he was patient and had a big heart. He was always willing to help others. He loved to garden, take care of his Subaru, and was known as the family weatherman. Matthew was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Visitation with family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev.
