Maureen C. Bajarunas, nee Smith, age 80, of Crown Point, IN, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, July 3, 2026. Beloved wife of 59 years of Robert F. Bajarunas. Loving mother of Robert “Rob” E. (Sandy) Bajarunas and Carrie (Jason) Fouts. Cherished grandmother of Steve, Megan, Madison, Tyler, Julia, and Grayson. Great-grandmother of Aubrey Stanwick, Ivy Spee, Lainey Spee, Colton Gurley, and Billie Lu Gurley. Dear sister of the late Catherine (Jack) Connolly, late Carol A. Gunkel, Michael Smith, James Smith, Peggy (late Terrance) Sweet, and the late Brian (Jennifer) Smith. Kind aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. with a prayer service to be held at 3:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.
