Maxine L. Schwantes, nee Mastey, age 58, of Crown Point, IN, passed away Friday, November 24, 2017. Beloved wife of Robert E. Schwantes Jr. Dear mother of Benjamin Egelske. Cherished sister of Jayne (late Robert) Conner, James (Rhonda) Mastey, Audrey (Jack) Allen, late Frank (late Margaret) Mastey, Anita (Craig) Labus, Phyllis (Steven) Boling, Eileen (late William) Kelly, Randall (Sue) Mastey, and Garry (Linda) Mastey. Kind aunt of many nephews and nieces. Preceded in death by her parents Frank and Victoria Mastey. Visitation Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Prayer service Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home, leaving for a 10:00 A.M. funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 321 E. Joliet St., Crown Point, IN, with Rev.
