Melvin G. Miedema, age 81, of South Holland, IL passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Beloved husband of Betty Miedema, nee Seaman. Loving father of Gary (Tami) and Greg (Sandy) Miedema. Devoted grandfather of Michelina, Lindsay, Jack and Nick. Dear brother of Bob (Carol) and Gene (Pat) Miedema. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Jacob and Grace Miedema. Visitation Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. Melvin was a Korean War Army Veteran.
