Mervin R. JaBaay, age 71, late of Dyer, IN formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015. Beloved husband of Wilmetta "Billie" JaBaay, nee DeJong. Devoted father of Pamela (John) Groen and Penny (Paul) Smit. Proud grandfather of Max (Noelle), Alexa, Zach, and Rachel Groen and Hunter, Payton, Hayley, and Jaxson Smit; Great-grandfather of Holland. Dear brother of the late Bill (Ida) JaBaay, late Bob (Alice) JaBaay, late Verle (Edith) JaBaay, late Jack (Lenora) JaBaay, late Jerry (Verna(Wes) Feikema) JaBaay, late Marvin JaBaay, Wayne (Joan) (late Juanita) JaBaay, Shirley (Chuck) Emerick, Alvin (Sharon) JaBaay, Darlene (Keith) Glaze, late Chuck (Sandy) JaBaay, and the late Cheryl (late Tim) Mergenthaler. Preceded in death by his parents John and Lenora JaBaay. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral service Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Glen United Reformed Church, 2244 Indiana Ave., Lansing, IL with Rev. John Vermeer officiating.
