Michael A. Dean, age 74, of Schererville, IN, passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 28, 2020. Loving husband of Dawn Dean, nee Jabaay.  Devoted father of the late Shawn Dean, Brandy Jeter, Kimberly (late Bryan) Safley, Christina (Scott) Starkson, Tyler (Ashley) Dean, and stepfather of Ryan Wojcik.  Proud grandfather of Baylee Safley, Chase Leighton, and Olivia Leighton.  Dear brother of Bill, Tom (Noreen), Alberta, Pat, Dave (Sharon), Mary, Phyllis, and Kathy.  Uncle to many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Preceded in death by his brothers Bob, John, Chuck, and Richard; his brother-in-law Russ, sister-in-law Diane; nephew Ronald and niece Debbie; and by his parents Robert and Josephine Dean.

Visitation Saturday, October 31, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Rev.
