Mildred I Eckel

Mildred I. Eckel age 96 of Crete, IL, passed away on July 3, 2013. Mildred is survived by her loving husband Charles Eckel, 2 sons Charles E. and William J. Eckel. She is also survived by her dear granddaughter Sandrah Eckel. Visitation for Mildred will be held at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL on Monday July 8, 2013 from 2:00 until 7:00 P.M. A funeral service will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Deacon John Drechny officiating. Burial will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery Sterling, IL. Mildred is a long time member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church in Park Forest, IL. Memorials to "The Ribbon of Hope" Cancer awareness Garden in Beecher, IL in care of the Eckel Family appreciated.
