Milton J. Van Drunen, age 63, of Lansing, IL, went to be with his Lord and Savior Wednesday, June 25, 2014. Beloved husband of Rita Van Drunen, nee Zylstra. Dear father of Nathan (Keri) Van Drunen, Jed (Sarah) Van Drunen, and Rebecca (Nathan) Hart. Proud grandfather of Scott, the late Lara, Zachary, Lucy, Grace, Connor, Winnie, Gianna, and Lily. Loving son of Milton and Annamae Van Drunen. Brother of Kathy (Bill) Dykstra, Debra (Jim) Panozzo, Steve (Deb) Van Drunen and Joel (Carol) Van Drunen. Visitation Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311. Funeral service will be held Monday, June 30, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church 3500 Glenwood- Lansing Rd. Lansing, IL 60438 with services conducted by Rev. Daniel Roels. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery - Lansing, IL. Milt was a dedicated teacher and coach at Lansing Christian School for 36 years. He was also an active member at New Hope Christian Reformed Church. Milt enjoyed spending time with family and working in God's creation by gardening, raising pigeons and kayaking.
