Nicolas "Nick" Wolterstorff

Visitation for Nick Wolterstorff, 82, of Momence, will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Momence Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Momence Orthodox Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Brent Evans will officiate. Burial will be in Skyline Memorial Park, Monee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bethany Christian Services of Chicago or Hospice of Kankakee Valley. He died Sunday (Feb. 28, 2010) in Kankakee. Mr. Wolterstorff was a retired steel fabricator and farmer. He was born Jan. 12, 1928, in Rushmore, Minn., the son of Nick and Jennie Damstra Wolterstorff. He was very active with Unity Christian School and the Momence Orthodox Presbyterian Church, where he was a member. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Surviving are his wife, the former DeLoris VanDrunen, whom he married March 17, 1949; one daughter-in-law, Mary Anne Wolterstorff; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Nancy and Rick Kiekintveld, Angela and Fred Caldwell, Darla Wolterstorff, Ronda Veld, and Robert Veld; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; four sisters and five brothers. Deceased are one son, Gordon Wolterstorff; and two sisters.
