Norman J. Noel Sr., age 87 of Monee, IL, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. Beloved husband of the late Grayce Noel nee Van Drunen. Loving father of Norman J. Noel Jr. and Janel (Gerald) Piepenbrink. Cherished grandfather of Rebecca (Adam) Nagle, Jonathan (Kathy) Piepenbrink, Rachel (Mark) Veldhuizen and Timothy (Debbie) Piepenbrink. Great-grandfather of Irene, Hannah, Brooke, Emma, Kennedy, Ryan and Jonathan Jr. Dear brother of Gene (Rosella) Noel) Visitation Monday March 28th from 11:00 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.). Interment will be at St. Paul United Church of Christ Cemetery in Monee, IL. Mr. Noel was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired electrician for Commonwealth Edison Co. and was a longtime member of Deer Creek Christian Church in University Park.
