Norman H. Zumm, age 96, of Crown Point, IN, formerly a lifelong resident of Riverdale, IL. Passed away peacefully Saturday, February 27, 2016. Beloved husband of the late Rose Zumm, nee Adduci. Devoted father of Gerald (Anne), Robert (Jennifer) Zumm, and the late Norma Jean (Cecil) Norton. Proud grandfather of Lora (Bill Pardue) and Kevin Bruggeman, David (Christi) and Paula (Raymond Poer) Zumm, and Danielle (Mike Boldin) and Joseph Norton; great-grandfather of 10. Dear brother of the late Elmer Zumm, Adeline Lawall, and Eleanore Zumm. Kind uncle to many. Preceded in death by his parents Traugott and Anna Zumm. Norman was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran having served in the 602nd Tank Destroyer Recon Battalion under General Patton''s Third Army, during the liberation of Europe. Following the war, he worked 39 years for R.R. Donnelly & Sons in Chicago. In addition, he served as a Volunteer Fireman in the Village of Riverdale for 27 years.
