Nyla Sue Burdette

Nyla Sue (Weiand) Burdette, nee Dalton, age 88, of St. John, IN, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Paul Weiand and the late Reggie Burdette. Loving mother of the late Brenda (Eddie) Aiello and Joyce (Ted) Chakos. Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Zurawicz and Paul Skoglund. Preceded in death by her parents William and Ruth Dalton, her sister Beth Lyons, and her brothers Dean and Jim Dalton. Nyla was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

An inurnment service will be held at Goodland Cemetery – Goodland, IN at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area.
