Oralia G. Peña, age 84, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 28, 2022. Beloved wife of the late Aroldo Peña. Loving mother of Mary (Ramon) Rios, Alice (Rudy) Garcia, Pete (significant other Jeanine Pearson) Peña, Felipe (significant other Caryn Wiersma) Peña, Hilda (significant other Kurt Besler) Peña, Joe Peña, Norma (Armando) Lopez, Christina (Fidel) Morales, Aroldo Peña Jr., and Dalia (Lando) Alcantar. Cherished grandmother of 24 grandchildren, great-grandmother of 22 great-grandchildren and great-great grandmother of 7 great-great grandchildren. Dear sister of Guadalupe Garcia and half-sister of Rigoberto Garza and Enriqueta Garza Salazar. Oralia will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits -Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL). Funeral Mass Friday March 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Catholic Church 71 W 35th St, Steger, IL 60475. Interment Assumption Cemetery – Glenwood, IL.
