Patricia Catherine Ziems age 84 of Grant Park, formerly of Steger, IL, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Ziems. Loving mother of Dennis (Carol) Ziems, Bonnie (Tommy) Roberts and Karen Enright. Cherished grandmother of Dennis (Janice) Ziems, Gina (Robert) Werner, Nicole Ziems, Jeremy (Michelle) Roberts, Rebecca Roberts, Megan (Bill) Klomes and Brandon Enright. Great grandmother of Luke Ziems, Nate Werner, Faith Lambert, Allison, Abigail, Alexis Roberts. Dear sister of two half-brothers Daniel (Diane) Soukup, Robert (Nancy) Soukup and a half-sister Anna (James) Casey. Visitation for Patricia will be held at the Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 2:00 until 8:00 P.M. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; Cecelia and Louis Soukup, Great uncle and aunt Amelia and Fred Knaack, sister; Cecelia Soukup, half-sister; Betty Chira, half-brother George Soukop, two step sisters; Violet and Lydia. Patricia was raised in Steger by her great aunt and uncle Fred and Amelia Knaack.
