Patrick J. Mccauley

Patrick J. McCauley, age 73, late of Dyer, IN, formerly of Homewood and Lockport, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022.  Former husband of Dawn McCauley, nee Buskirk.  Devoted father of Beth (Michael) Kowalik, Erin (Chris) Tacke, and Kelly (Ante) Vujic. Proud grandfather of Olivia, Garrett, Lily, Luka, and Ana. Dear brother of Michael, Kathleen, Maureen, Thomas, Joseph, Teresa, and the late Mary McCauley. Preceded in death by his parents George and Virginia McCauley.

Patrick enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He had a lifelong love of golf which started back in his caddying days at Ravisloe Country Club. He was a kind and gentle soul always happy to lend a helping hand to any who needed it. He had a knack for pronouncing words the wrong way, something that made everyone laugh. Generous with charity, he loved to support the church food bank and many other Christian charities.

Memorial Service on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 11:00-11:30 am, with coffee and tea to follow at Dyer United Methodist Church, 2016 Church St, Dyer, IN 46311.  In lieu of flowers, the family is accepting donations to support the Dyer UMC food bank at www.pjm.betterworld.org
