Paul L Elza

Paul L. Elza, age 71, of Steger, IL, passed away peacefully July 26, 2015 at his home surrounded by family and friends. Survived by his son: Richard (Kelly) Elza; daughters: Pat, Dorothy, and Rose; His girlfriend Kathy Gregg; former wife Amy Veldkamp. Brothers: Bill, Robert, and the late Keith Elza; sisters: Ann Simmons and Faye Stonebreaker; Many grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and an overabundance of special friends. Preceded in death by his parents Fleming and Dorothy Elza; son: Kevin; grandson: Richard Elza Jr. and granddaughter Katarina Elza. Paul was born August 9, 1943 in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was a maintenance mechanic at Century Steel for 25 years. Paul had an affinity for the game of pool. Those who knew him can''t deny that he loved all there is to know about pool, more than life itself. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and loved ones. Memorial visitation Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 3:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475) with Rev. Denver Whiteside officiating. Interment private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the Elza Family would be sincerely appreciated.
