Leaving this present life in the confidence that those whom God justifies, He also glorifies, Paul Haak, age 74, passed into eternal glory on June 20 into the arms of his loving, heavenly Father whose eye is on the sparrow. Paul was born on November 26, 1951, to Henrietta Haak and was raised in Lansing, Illinois. He married Debbie Rodden in 1974 and together they raised four children. Paul was a long-time member of Crete Protestant Reformed Church.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debbie, his four children Nathan (Michelle), Katie (Jeff), Trisha, and Alyssa (Tom), and his grandchildren: Tori (Noah and expected great-grandchild), Lili, Deklan, Mila, and Graci Belle. He was preceded in death by his mother and his grandfather. He lived his life trusting under the wings of his heavenly Father. His family survives, thanking God that having been delivered from his earthly flesh, he is now renewed with strength as upon the wings of an eagle, living in glory where he shall run, and not be weary, where he shall walk, and not faint.
The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 24, at 11:00 am at Crete Protestant Reformed Church with Rev. Carl Haak officiating. There will be no visitation, but you will be able to give condolences to the family as one exits the sanctuary. Burial will be private. “O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?” I Corinthians 15:55
