Penny E. Deren, nee Griffin, age 72, of Dyer, IN, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023.  Loving wife of Roger Deren.  Devoted mother of Nicole (Stephan) Pochron and Timothy (Rachel) Deren.  Cherished Mema of Anthony and Brenden Pochron, Caleb, Ryan, Lilly, and Grace Deren.  Dear sister of Michael (Debbie) Griffin, Becky (late Earl) Willoughby, Kim (John) Fernandez, Chris Griffin, Stephanie Griffin and Scott Griffin.  Preceded in death by her parents Harold (late Agnes) Griffin, and Norma (late George) Endler.

Memorial visitation Saturday, October 21, 2023 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.  Memorial donations may be given St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital .
