Phyllis Kay Jabaay

Phyllis Kay Jabaay, nee, Rispens, age 90, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Dorn Jabaay. Loving mother of James (Patti) Jabaay, Linda (Doug) Sluiter, Keith Jabaay, and Denise (David) Poole. Devoted grandmother of James (Toni) Jabaay Jr., Joel (Courtney) Jabaay, Bethanni (Brandon) Buikema, Candice (Steve) Van Hout, Ashley (David) Huitsing, Braden Sluiter, Austin Sluiter, Maxwell Poole and Henry Poole and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Elaine (late Norman) Killmer, late Evelyn (late Charles) Ridder, and the late Alfred (late Judy) Rispens. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Dick and Katherine Rispens. Phyllis was an avid golfer and was a longtime member of the Lansing Country Club where she had two hole-in-ones. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. directly at Bethel Christian Reformed Church 3500 Glenwood-Lansing Road, Lansing, IL, with Rev. Kyle Beckrich officiating. Interment Munster Christian Reformed Cemetery – Munster, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Presbyterian Church – Naples, FL or Bethel Christian Reformed Church.
