Phyllis Ann Sampson

Phyllis Ann Sampson, 85, of Janesville, WI, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021. She was born on January 12, 1936 in Calumet City, IL, the daughter of Anthony J. and Helen P. (Steffan) Fehring.

Phyllis worked for the family business as a watchmaker for many years and became the first female President of The Horological Association of Indiana in 1986. In her spare time, she liked to sew, crochet, bowl and cook.

Phyllis is survived by her husband of nearly 38 years, Donald Sampson of Janesville, WI; son, Phil Simcich, step children, Patricia (Richard) King and Bill (Debbie) Sampson; grandchild, Emily Simcich; step grandchildren, Kristine, Michael, Patrick, Megan, Valerie, Amy, Beth, and Katie and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Sally Ann Simcich; sister Patricia “Patsy” and step son, Jim Sampson.

Funeral Mass Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Joseph Catholic Church – 440 Joliet St. Dyer, IN. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery – Dyer, IN.
