Ralph L. Johnson

Ralph L. Johnson, age 94, of Sauk Village, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 1, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Mary Y. Johnson, nee Zomparelli. Loving father of Ralph L. Johnson Jr., Howard (Sue) Johnson, Josephine (Roger) Ahlf, Herb (Kathy) Johnson and Phyllis (Mike) Hoelzeman. Cherished grandfather of Wesley (Lori) Hanrahan, Darrell (Angie) Johnson, Jennifer Gray, Jacqueline (Larry) Westberg, Crystal (Jason) Panozzo, Nicole (David) Pugh, Anthony Johnson, and Eriksen Hoelzeman; great-grandfather of 14. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by six sisters and five brothers. Ralph retired from the Sauk Village School District 168 after 27 years of service as a custodian. He was also a proud WWII U.S. Navy veteran. Ralph will be dearly missed.

Visitation Monday, March 4, 2019 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel , 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, IL. Funeral service Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment at St. James Cemetery – Sauk Village, IL.
