Raymond J. Chmielewski, age 82, late of Dolton, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 1, 2009. Beloved husband of Barbara Chmielewski nee Sitton. Devoted father of Susan (Ron) Longan, Mary (Terry) Lee, Michael (Michelle) Chmielewski, Laura Chmielewski, John Chmielewski and Joseph Chmielewski. Proud grandfather of Ryan, Jennifer, Jessica, Dylan, Dominick and Joey. Dear brother of three sisters and two brothers. Preceded in death by his loving parents Frank &Victoria Chmielewski and one brother. Kind uncle of several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Jude the Apostle Church in South Holland, IL at a date to be announced. Private Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL. Ray was a WWII Navy Veteran, a longtime member of St. Jude the Apostle's Holy Name Society, a member of the Arco Illiana Retiree's Club and member of the Polish Legion.
