Raymond G. Tarnow, age 76 of Steger, IL, passed away peacefully January 14, 2015. Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Tarnow nee Whitlock. Loving father of Irene (James) Wise, Leonard (Michele) Tarnow, Kenneth Tarnow and Michael (Kim) Tarnow. Cherished grandfather of Ryan (Katie Rasar) Wise, Jonathan Wise, Joseph (Maggie) Tarnow, Sara (Cherisse Hoover) Tarnow, Tiffany Tarnow, Kris Tarnow, Jeff Davis and the late Nickolas Tarnow. Dear brother of Frederic (Beverly) Tarnow and the late Carol Radakovitz. Memorial Visitation Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church 12 W. 34th Place Steger, IL. Raymond was a United States Coast Guard Veteran. He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, an Instructor for the American Red Cross, an active member of the Boy Scouts of America for 70 years and was camp ranger for the Chicago Area Council. Raymond was also an Honorary Member of the Crete Township Fire Department. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice appreciated.
