Rena Ooms, nee Zeldenrust , age 94, of Munster, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Beloved wife of Gerard “Bob” Ooms for 74 & ½ years. Loving mother of Donna (late Butch) DeGraff, Joan (Larry ) Van Drunen, Ruth (Duke) VanDerVeen, and preceded in death by two sons: John Henry and Robert Wayne Ooms. Proud grandmother of Kathy (Tim) Olthoff, Karen (Mark) Kramer, Bud (Jessica) DeGraff, Kristi (Curtis) Van Drunen, Randall (Tracy) Van Drunen, Ross (Tami) Van Drunen, Julie(Andrew) VanDerVeen-VanTil, Ryan (Jane) VanDerVeen, Aaron (Kendra) VanDerVeen, and Rachel (Jon) Firlit. Great-grandmother of 20. Dear sister of Alyda Van Schouwen and preceded in death by several other brothers and sisters and her parents Henry and Grace Zeldenrust.
