Rev Walter John Kline

Rev. Walter John Kline, age 84, went home to be with his Lord on January 21, 2008. He is survived by his wife Shirley Masciotra Kline: One daughter: Christine (Ray) Nieuwsma; One son: Paul Kline; Two step-sons Louis (Pearl) Masciotra and Jim Masciotra; Five grandchildren: Rachel, Jill, Sarah, Darin and David; Three brothers: Roland (Toni), Jack (Shirley) and Donald Kline; One sister: Joyce (Clarence) Vanas; He was preceded in death by his first wife Edith Mae Kline. Visitation Friday, January 25, 2008 from 2:00 til 8:00 p.m. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Funeral service Saturday, January 26, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. at Village Church, 16931 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Steve Miller. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery " Lansing, IL. Rev. Kline served as a pastor for churches in New York, Ohio, Iowa and Illinois. He also served as a chaplain at Oak Forest Hospital in Oak Forest, IL and most recently served as visitation pastor at Village Church in South Holland, IL. He was also a W.W. II Navy Veteran.
