Richard F. Draus

Richard F. Draus, age 89, of South Holland, IL, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017. Born March 28, 1928 to Andrew and Anna (Opyt) Draus in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his daughter Richelle Lincoln of Highland Heights, Ohio and son Kenneth (Darlene) Draus of South Holland, IL and his grandchildren Richard “Woody” Lincoln and Joseph Lincoln both of Highland Heights, Ohio, Isabella, Liliana, and Carolina Draus all of South Holland, IL. Dear brother of Virginia (late Michael) Schassburger. He was preceded in death by his adorable wife Mary Jane Draus, nee Raczek, two infant sons Timothy and Terrance, his parents Andrew and Anna Draus, and brothers Thomas (late Jeanette) and Bernard (Diane) Draus. Richard was a retired Project Engineer at Acme (Interlake) Steel in Riverdale, IL. He and his late wife Mary Jane were avid travelers having been to all 50 states and 34 foreign countries and 5 continents. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War, serving in Korea and Japan (1951-1953) with the 19th Infantry Regiment of the 24th Infantry Division. He was a member of the VFW Post 9964 in South Holland, the 24th Inf. Div. Association, the P.R.C.U.A and an active member of Holy Ghost Church in South Holland.
