Richard F. Kalemba, age 84, of Schererville, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 29, 2021.  Beloved husband of Sandra J. Kalemba, nee Kwiatkowski. Loving father of Susan (Tim) Stan.  Dear brother of Ronald (Terrie) Kalemba. Uncle of Kim, Guy and Dawn.  Special cousins: Szala and Scheele families.  Preceded in death by his parents Felix and Victoria Kalemba.

Richard was a long-time employee of the Cook County Systems Division.  He was a 14 year member of the Knights of Columbus, Past Grand Knight of Mary Queen of Knights Council #10142, Glenwood, IL and a 4th Degree Knight of the Samuel Cardinal Stritch Assembly #205.

Visitation Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. directly at St. Kieran Catholic Church, 724 195 th St.  Chicago Heights, IL with Rev. William McFarlane officiating.  Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Humane Indiana (421 45th St. Munster, IN 46321 ), masses said in memory of Richard, or trees planted.
