Rita Mae Vohs

Rita Mae Vohs, nee Tolin, age 81, of Schererville, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.  Loving mother of Theresa (William) Keys, Roberta (Brad) Newlin, Keith (Cheryl) Jennings, and Kathleen (Steven) Bobinski.  Cherished grandmother of Cassandra, Ryan, Andrew, Jamie, Jessica, Katherine, late Megan, and the late Alexandra.  Great-GiGi of Evan, Liam, Alexandra, Hayden, and Grayson.  Dear sister of Mary Nicksic, the late Michael Tolin, and the late Blanche Laska.  Beloved wife of the late Jack Vohs.  Preceded in death by her parents Michael and Mary Tolin.  Rita was an ICU nurse at St. Catherine’s Hospital and retired after 55 years of service.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 1:00 – 5:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln.
