Riziero "Benny" Fusco

Riziero "Benny" Fusco, 76, of Warren, passed away Monday, April 15, 2013 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. He was born January 4, 1937 in Molfetta, Italy and raised in Torino, Italy. The son of the late Fioravante and Marta Palmiotti Fusco. He was employed as a sprayer with General Motors Corporation for 25 years. He served in the Italian Army before coming to the United States and was a naturalized American Citizen. Riziero had the equivalent of 18 years of education in this country and taught school in the United States even though he did not speak English when he immigrated here. Loving memories of Riziero will be carried on by his three sons, Michael (Julie) Fusco of Stow, Geoffrey (Cynthia) Fusco of Howland and Nicholas Fusco of Warren; six grandchildren, Justin, Brittany, Cameron, Francesca, Nicholas and Avianna; two sisters, Armida Melone of Chicago Heights, Illinois and Pia Marello of Torino, Italy; brother, Amedeo Fusco of Torino, Italy; nieces and nephews, Marta, Margherita and Marco all of Torino, Italy and Robert, Joe, Michelle and Rich all of Chicago Heights, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Michelina Fusco who died in 1947 in Torino, Italy. A Graveside Service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Assumption Cemetery in Glenwood, Illinois where Fr. Thomas Kasputis will officiate.
