Robert G. Bultema, age 93, of St. John, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Lorraine A. Bultema nee Hoogewerf. Loving father of Ken (Pat) Bultema, William (Sharon) Bultema, Randy Bultema, Neal Bultema, and Thomas (Luanne) Bultema. Cherished grandfather of 10; great-grandfather of 18. Dear brother of the late Larry (late Lorraine) Bultema, late Harold (Laverne) Bultema, Carl (Carolyn) Bultema, and the late Esther (late Case “Sonny” Boender and the late Chuck Thomas). Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Rose Bultema. Robert was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Mr. Bultema was an Owner/Operator of Thornton Blacktop and a Korean War Army Veteran.
Visitation Wednesday, January 10, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Spings Ln.), Dyer, IN. Funeral service Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood Lansing Rd., Lansing, IL. Interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Bethel Christian Reformed Church or Providence Park Place - Faith House in St. John, IN.
