Robert Gruszka, age 82, of Dyer, IN, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016. Beloved husband of Alice Gruszka, nee Hoyda. Loving father of Pam Gruszka, Linda Gawlinski (Bob Inch), and Bob Gruszka (Melissa Murphy). Proud grandfather of Alyssa Gawlinski, Evan Lindenmeyer, and Jeremy Gawlinski. Dear brother of Leona (late Leonard) Novak and the late Ruthie Gruszka. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special lifelong friends of Marge and the late Bob Lippie and Audrey and Tom Lyons. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Genevieve Gruszka. Mr. Gruszka was a U.S. Army Veteran and an American Legion member. Memorial Visitation Friday, December 9, 2016 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Memorial visitation also Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Maria Goretti Church, 500 Northgate Dr., Dyer, IN.
