Robert Lacheta, age 82, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 25, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Susanna Lacheta nee Opilka. Loving father of Kimberly (Bryan) Buczkowski and Janice (Anthony) Jordan. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Kaylin, Jacob, Clara, and Allan. Dear brother-in-law of Mary Lacheta. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his siblings James Lacheta, John Lacheta, Gertrude Tegler and Florence Lacheta. Robert will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation to be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits -Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Road Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Mass to be held Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Liborius Catholic Church, Steger, IL. Interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery - Steger, IL.
