Robert John Rains, age 68 of Plainfield, Illinois, passed away peacefully August 15, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Beverly Gray-Rains. Loving father of Robert (Kim), Michelle (John) Wilkin and Heather (Dave) Lundquist. Cherished grandfather of Johnathon, Heather and Zachary. Dear brother of James (Cindy), Beth (Bob) Kommers and Tom (Amy) Rains. Robert was a proud Veteran of the USMC. He retired as a Linesman for ComEd after 35 years of Service. Memorial Visitation, Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 1:00 p.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, Illinois. Interment Private.
