Robert W. Stearns Sr., age 69, of Sauk Village, IL, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015. Beloved husband of Barbara Stearns, nee Mouritsen. Devoted father of Robert (Alice) Stearns Jr., Jack (Tanya) Stearns, and Brian (fiancee Tara) Stearns. Proud grandfather of 10; Great-grandfather of one. Dear brother of the late John (late Roberta) Stearns. Preceded in death by his parents Edward and Cledith Stearns. Dedicated employee at Sauk Village Public Works Department and a Sauk Village Volunteer Fireman. Visitation Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 5:30 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN 46311 with Chaplain Hall officiating.
