Beloved husband of Joann Peterson, nee Westerhoff; dear father of Kevin Peterson and Susan Ver Haar; loving grandfather of Melody, Samantha, Keely, Jessica, and Harley. Visitation, Thursday, November 8, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL 60473. Funeral service, Friday, November 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. James Van Zetten officiating. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL.
