Ronald J. "Bink" Binkowski, age 80, of South Holland, IL formerly of Hegewisch, entered eternal rest peacefully at his home on Friday, October 12, 2018. Beloved husband for 56 years of Janet (nee Geleott) Binkowski. Loving father of John and cherished grandfather of Ava & Lily Binkowski. Dear brother-in-law of Ronald (Judy) Geleott. Kind uncle of Kevin and Patrick Geleott and fond cousin of many. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter J. and Sophia (nee Bonczek) Binkowski. Ron enjoyed the outdoors walking in the woods, biking, and fishing, going to the Indy Car Races, and traveling. Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 17, 2018 from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6/159th St.) South Holland, IL. Prayer service Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. at the funeral home leaving for a 10:00 A.M. funeral mass at St. Mary Queen of Apostles Church, 145th & Atlantic Ave. Riverdale, IL. with Fr. Mariusz and Fr. Gosbert officiating. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery - Calumet City, IL. Most heartfelt gratitude to our family and friends of St. Mary Queen of Apostle Parish for prayers and support and to everyone at Seasons Hospice whose care was a blessing.
