Ronald J. Ellens, age 80, of Monee, IL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, December 16, 2020.  Beloved husband of Karen Ellens, nee Huizenga.  Loving father of a late infant son Russell Ellens, Robin (Norman) Faber, Roger (Jane) Ellens, and Keith (Jennifer) Ellens.  Proud grandfather of Chad Ellens, Tyler Ellens, Lauren Ellens, Joshua Ellens, Naomi Faber, Jacob Ellens, Isaiah Faber, and Benjamin Ellens.  Dear brother of Beverly Murray, Dave (Judy) Ellens, Mary (Steve) Harmatys, and the late Gloria (late Merl) Kredit.  Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his parents John and Nellie Ellens. Mr. Ellens was retired from A.T.&T. and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. Visitation Saturday, December 19, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.)
