Ronald E. Henning

Ronald E. Henning, age 85, of Thornton, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 5, 2021.  Beloved husband of Dorothy Henning, nee O’Donnell. Loving father of Deborah (Jeffrey) Miller, James Henning, the late Rhonda (Jerry) Dedo, and Christine McLaughlin.  Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Jeremy, James Jr., Rachel, Jason, Ethan, Madeleine, Gavin, Ryan and Aidan. Great-grandfather of Megan, Ethan and Hadley. Dear brother of Tom Henning, Richard Henning, the late Jack Dobbs, and the late William Henning.  Also preceded in death by his parents Emil and Chloe Henning.

Visitation Monday, August 9, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN.  Visitation also Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. at Christ Our Savior Catholic Church, 880 E. 154 ^th St. South Holland, IL.  Memorial contributions may be given to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls (1140 W.
