Ronald "Ron" L. Hutchison

Ronald “Ron” L. Hutchison, age 84, of South Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully, Thursday, September 17, 2026. Beloved husband of Betty Hutchison nee Kannberg. Loving father of Rhonda (Jeremiah) Daley and Randall (Tracy Bosco) Hutchison. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas (Jackie) Hutchison, Shelby (Dustin) Husarik, Sidney Hutchison and Grant Daley and great-grandfather of Alexander Hutchison and Matthew Hutchison. Dear brother of Robert Hutchison, Rosemary (late Tommaso) Camilleri, James (Patti Spencer) Hutchison and Donna Kay (Phillip) Ganza. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents LaDonna and Chester Hutchison and his brother Gregory Hutchison.

Ron was an Eagle Scout in his childhood and later helped establish one of the first scout troops in the Crete area. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1959-1965. After starting a family, Ron was a baseball coach and Cub Scout leader. He enjoyed cars and attending car shows. He was an avid fisherman and participated in the first bass fishing tournament held in Illinois. Ron was a volunteer for P.A.D.S. (Public Action to Deliver Shelter) and active in his church throughout his life, most recently as a member of Living Creek Church. Ron will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
