Ronald W. Schenck, age 74, of Lansing, IL passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 at his residence. Beloved husband of Jeanette,(Lorenz) dear father of William Bud (Sabina), Vivian (Kenny)Padilla, Doug Schenck, and the late Carla; dear step father of Roberta(Jack) Dempsey, Gregg(Terry) Lorenz, and Paula(Mark) Nedza; loving grandfather of Aaron(Valen), Samatha, Amanda, Ely, Ric, Jacob, Trapper, Charlee, Eric, Adam, Jon, Taylor, Angie, Andrew, Christopher, and the late Cassandra; loving step-grandfather of Melissa, Cory, Michael, Michael, Brian, Christopher, and Ryan; cherished great grandfather of Alana, Ale, and Cynthia. Memorial Service, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St.(Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Don Kaiser. Mr. Schenck was a retired carpenter, a licensed captain of 100 ton ships, a licensed engineer of 150 ton ships, a sword fish fisherman, a licensed pilot and a United States Marine Corp Veteran.
