Rose Firlit , 99 of Crete IL , formerly of University Park , IL , passed away peacefully Wednesday August 20, 2014. Born in Chicago on February 19, 1915, Beloved daughter of the late Jan and Martha Firlit. Dear sister of the late Stella H Sage and the late John W. Firlit. Cherished aunt to 4 nieces and 2 nephews. Attended St John of God and Good Council high school. She earned her teaching degree from Loyola University. She taught school for 42 years. She loved children and caring for them. She enjoyed crocheting and was always willing to help others. She attended St James Parish for over 40 years. Visitation Sunday August 24th from 3:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger , IL .
