Rose Ella Melone

Rose Ella Melone, nee Cline, age 92, of Valparaiso, IN passed away peacefully in her home with her children by her bedside on Friday, April 02, 2021.  Rose was the beloved wife of the late Michael M. Melone.  She was the loving mother of Reverend Michael (Deborah) Melone, Deena Young, Costantino J. (Nicole) Melone, and the late Kathy Tarena.  The devoted grandmother of 10 grandchildren, Frank Tarena, Deena Tarena-Boyd, Michael Melone III, Daniel Melone, Robert Drish, Costantino Drish-Young, Tony Young, Amy Young, Costantino J. Melone Jr., and Katie Rodriguez, 17 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild on the way!  Rose was also the dear sister of Mel Cline.  She was loved by many and will be missed deeply.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 07, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.  A visitation will also be held on Thursday, April 08, 2021 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow.  The service will be live streamed from our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/SmitsFH Interment will be held at Mt.
