PROPER Ruth Christine Proper, nee Mehlhorn, age 87, of Crete, IL, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 16, 2011. She is survived by one daughter: Frances Charlene Smits; Dear friends: Pat J. Scholz and Ron and Lois DeBoer; son-in-law: Dan Smits; 2 grandchildren: Justin(Tori) Smits and Karissa Smits; and one great-grandchild: Caleb. A private memorial service will be held.
