Salvador Garcia Vazquez, age 62, of Chicago Heights, Illinois, passed away peacefully, March 14, 2014. Beloved father of Patricia Vazquez and Jaime "G-Jo" Vazquez. Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Matteo and Ruben Vazquez. Visitation Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Road Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Mass Thursday, March 20, 2014 11:00 a.m. at San Rocco Oratory 315 22nd St. Chicago Heights, Illinois. Interment Assumption Cemetery - Glenwood, Illinois. Salvador was a UAW Member and 40 year employee at the Chicago Heights Ford Stamping Plant as a forklift driver.
