Sandra L. “Sandy” Lowry, nee Blink, age 75, of Dyer, IN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 23, 2017. Beloved wife of Robert J. Lowry. Devoted mother of Robert T. (Dawn) Lowry. Proud grandmother of Jordan Lowry, Caitlyn (John) Pourcho, and Kyle Lowry. Dear sister of the late Gene (Barbara) Blink. Fond sister-in-law of Dan (Kathy), John (Dee), Frank (Janet), Jim (Martha), and Bill (Robyn) Lowry. Loving aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Lewis and Minnie Blink. Visitation Monday, March 27, 2017 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral service Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN with Rev. Andy Nearpass officiating. Interment Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery – Schererville, IN. Sandy accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior at a young age. Her walk with God was the defining force in her life. Sandy’s kindness and love was a reflection of Christ to those around her. She and Robert were members of Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana. Sandy was a bookkeeper for many years before her aneurysm in 2000. In their spare time, Robert and Sandy enjoyed visiting lighthouses and made many trips to Michigan. Anyone who knew Sandy knew she was a gifted baker and cook. She delighted in treating loved ones with birthday cakes, cookies, and delicious meals. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her three grandchildren. Sandy’s presence will be greatly missed, but we will always cherish our memories of her. We find great joy in knowing that Sandy is now home with her Lord and Savior. Memorial contributions to Faith Church (100 – 81st Ave. Dyer, IN 46311) or the Epilepsy Foundation (17 N.
