Sandra Lee Peabody, nee Kopatz, age 74, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2026. Beloved mother of Rick (Jennifer) Peabody. Loving grandmother of Brenden and Jason. Dear sister of Susan (Kevin) Douglas and Lori (late Elmer) Maddamma. Dear aunt to Zach, Cailee, Mandy, Brett and Amber. Sandra was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert and Irene Kopatz. Sandra was a lover of horses and enjoyed spending time with her family, she will be greatly missed.
Visitation day Monday, November 2, 2026, from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits - Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Service Tuesday, November 3, 2026, 10:00 a.m. at Smits - Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, IL 60475. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery – Steger, IL.
